Last night Garrett and I went to the last showing at a local Hitchcock festival (we saw Notorious) and it was AWESOME. Hitchcock is so much better on the big screen. I also saw Psycho in theaters (there’s a small theater in Chapel Hill that plays vintage movies) and I was really engaged in the movie so I didn’t pay as much attention to the directing style, camera angles, costumes, etc, but Notorious isn’t quite as much my sort of film (I like horror movies) so I paid more attention to these things. It was really cool, I’d always enjoyed Hitchcock but now I think I’m starting to more fully appreciate his genius.
I think it says something about me and Garrett that the best dates we’ve been on are also the dates where we’re the youngest in the theater by at least 10 years.
I was making gluten free vegan cupcakes for the first time, and I got really nervous about the flavor so I added a shot of rum and some lime juice
